Contracting Strategy for Consumers With Distributed Energy Resources in the Liberalized Electricity Market

The rapid growth of distributed energy resources (DERs) and the new trends related to electricity market can represent economic advantages for consumers; nevertheless, these bring risks, such as high prices when contracting, inability forecast information offers demand. A contracting strategy is essential minimize possible financial losses due consumer exposure in liberalized market. This paper proposes a based on consumption forecasting pricing methodology optimize contract portfolio consumers with DERs. photovoltaic system battery storage has been considered model through mathematical programming approach developed four stages; first second stages are nonlinear problems, third stage linear problem, last mixed-integer problem. results case study, considering real without DERs, show that successfully minimized market, since operation DERs was reduced by 45.8% from main grid 49.7% need optimizing average price making it determine an optimal strategy.
